About the Author

Steven C. Smith is Professor and Chair of Biblical Studies at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake. He received his doctorate in New Testament and Early Christianity from Loyola University of Chicago in 2008. He is the author of numerous articles and books, including The Word of the Lord (2012), The House of the Lord (2017), and most recently, The Face of the Lord (2020).
